Josh Barnett took to Twitter on Monday night to announce the first athlete booked for the Bloodsport 8 event which will be held March 31 as part of GCW’s The Collective in Dallas: Biff Busick.
Busick was released by WWE in November of 2021, and recently re-emerged on the independent scene in a big way, procuring bookings in the WXW Sixteen Carat Gold Tournament, a just announced match with Wheeler Yuta for Beyond, and a much-anticipated match with Minoru Suzuki as part of WrestleCon also in Dallas on WrestleMania weekend, among others.
Busick (as Oney Lorcan) is a former NXT Tag Team Champion, as well as a former CZW World Heavyweight Champion.
