Tony Khan Says He Will Be Signing More Free Agents In The Near Future And The Forbidden Door Would Be Opening Once Again
Tony Khan has managed to keep fans intrigued in AEW by putting on a quality product and picking up some of the best free agents on the market. Over the past year, AEW has signed the likes of Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, and even CM Punk who some said would never return to wrestling just to name a few.
It now looks like the signing of more free agents will be happening in the near future. On Friday morning’s episode of Busted Open Radio AEW president Tony Khan stated that he plans on making more big-name signings.
I’m excited for it too, and now Mercedes Martinez she one of our most recent free-agent signings, and it’s a huge signing for us. Just in the last several weeks, we’ve made some big ones and I plan to make some more big signings and not in the long term future I mean in the short term future. I’ll still be active in the free-agent market and the forbidden door shall be opening again very soon.
We will have to see who will pop up in AEW in the upcoming weeks, especially after the most recent batch of WWE releases 90-day non-compete clause’s have officially ended.
Tony would further tease a huge signing and more Forbidden Door talk during Friday’s episode of Rampage and continued after.
