Free Agent Jeremy Stephens Signs With PFL, Will Join 155 2022 Season

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight contender Jeremy Stephens has signed with Professional Fight League for their 2022 Lightweight season as first reported by MMAJunkie on Monday.

“Lil Heathen” fought out his UFC contract last July in a losing effort vs Matheuz Gamrot via submission that capped off a six fight long streak without a win at featherweight. To Stephens’ credit however, the streak was to Jose Aldo, Zabit Magomedsharipov, Yair Rodriguez, Calvin Kattar and the aforementioned Gamrot.. Stephens will be fighting outside of the UFC umbrella for the first time in 33 fights when he takes centre stage at the PFL 155 season. He will be joined by fellow UFC alumni Anthony Pettis and Olivier Aubin Mercer in the 2022 season. The former lightweight champion defeated the new signing previously in the UFC but is excited to fight Pettis who he claims is ‘out of shape’. Check back with Bodyslam for future PFL announcements!
