Chikadze Claims He’d Lose One Time Out of Ten to Kattar

UFC Vegas 46 kicked the year off with a fantastic main event pitting featherweight contenders Calvin Kattar and Giga Chikadze in a five round war. Kattar won via unanimous decision as the judges scorecards suggested a five round shut out (50-45 x2, 50-44).

The following morning, Chikadze went live on Facebook to share his thoughts on the fight. Some of the highlights of the live video were his claims that if he fought Kattar ten times, Giga believes he would lose once. Chikadze noted that the one loss happened at UFC Vegas 46. Chikadze noted that he will “comeback stronger” after learning from the loss. He ended the live feed with a chilling message that he “feels sorry for future opponents.” You can watch the Facebook live here.

It may be a sign Chikadze’s inner champion that he does not want to acknowledge another fighter may be better than him, but as the aforementioned scorecards suggested, it was a dominant performance in the eyes of the judges in favor of Kattar. Chikadze was already a feared striker and finisher, so any improvement may keep him in the conversation for a title shot post Holloway-Volkanovski 3 regardless of the result from UFC Vegas 46.
