“The Wrld On GCW” takes place on January 23rd from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, and it is shaping up to be the biggest event in company history.
GCW sold out The Hammerstein Ballroom in just over two days, selling over two thousand tickets. So far only two matches have been made official for the event, a six-man tag team match featuring Team Bandido (ASF, Bandido & Laredo Kid) vs. Team Gringo (Arez, Demonic Flamita & Gringo Loco), and a Ring of Honor World Title Match as Jonathan Gresham defends against Blake Christian.
It was also announced that Ian Riccaboni will call the ROH World Title match at “The Wrld On GCW.”
But now it looks like another match might soon be added to the card, as AJ Gray has called his shot for Hammerstein and has issued a challenge to AEW Star Eddie Kingston.
A #1 Contender Rumble took place at GCW’s Die 4 This event on New Year’s Day which saw the legendary Homicide come out victorious, earning his shot at the GCW World Title. It is expected that his upcoming match with Moxley at Hammerstein will be announced once he returns to AEW TV.
We will keep you updated as more matches and news about “The Wrld On GCW” becomes known.
