Jeff Hardy Was Scheduled To Appear On NXT Prior To His Release

Back on December 9, Jeff Hardy was released from WWE.

The release came days after a bizarre incident at a house show in Texas. During the show, Hardy would exit the ring in the middle of a six-man tag match, exit the arena, and was later sent home.

Not only was Hardy set for a big push but now Fightful is reporting that Jeff Hardy was the original plan to be the “Shaman” for MSK.

Fightful is also reporting that after his release it left staff scrambling to find a replacement for Hardy, and Matt Riddle was rushed to film content with MSK.

The report additionally states that Hardy had already filmed spots for the segment but following his release they obviously had to be cut.

Since his release, Hardy has been focusing on his music career and has appeared alongside his brother Matt on his Twitch channel. Jeff has not made any comments on what or if he will do more in wrestling but there has been a lot of speculation that he may join AEW, so we will have to wait and see.
