Malakai Black Says He Has Made Mistakes With His Character In Both WWE And AEW

Malakai Black was released from WWE back in early June.

Black made his way to AEW in July, and has been a featured star for the company almost on a weekly basis. He has continued to evolve, grow, and morph his character into what it has currently become. Black has stated in previous interviews that he felt that WWE didn’t let him reach the full potential of the character.

While speaking on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Black talked about his character. Malakai Black admitted that there were some mistakes made when it comes to his character, both in WWE and in AEW.

“So for me, the character work sticks and the wrestling progresses slowly. I want to be seen as effective and efficient. I will also be the first one to sometimes also say that both in NXT and WWE and AEW, yeah, we have made some errors, we have made some mistakes, But you know, you also need to make mistakes to realize what you’ve done wrong so you can correct it again. Nothing is always ever absolute, right? So it’s all about finding what you need to change and redoing it and sometimes there was decisions that I made, sometimes it was decisions that they made….”

Over the past few weeks, Black has teased the coming of the House Of Black, which will likely introduce recently signed Brody King. But we will have to wait till this week’s episode of Dynamite to see.
