Jim Ross Announces That He’s Cancer Free

Jim Ross is one of the most iconic voices in the history of sports and perhaps wrestling’s greatest announcer. Ross’ health issues are well-documented, including numerous bouts of bells palsy that has taken him off television in the past. In late-October, Ross announced that he had been diagnosed with skin cancer. Ross, 69, took time off from AEW television to focus on his health. Ross has posted all of his treatments on social media allowing fans to follow along on his progress.

On the day that Jim Ross is set to return to AEW for New Year’s Smash, Jim Ross has announced on his social media platforms that he is officially cancer-free!

Ross is heading into the final year of a three-year deal signed in 2019 with AEW, where he serves as a commentator and senior advisor. Ross is one of the most well-known figures in wrestling history, providing work in a myriad of roles dating back to Leroy McGuirk’s Tri-State Wrestling in the mid-1970s.

We at Bodyslam would love to congratulate Jim Ross on his recovery and hope he continues to entertain fans for years to come.
