Jay Lethal To Replace Bandido At ROH Final Battle This Weekend

Last night it was revealed that ROH World Champion Bandido would not be able to compete at Saturday’s Final Battle after the luchador tested positive for covid-19.

Bandido was set to take on Jonathan Gresham, but with Saturday’s Final Battle being the final show before ROH goes on a hiatus, it was important to find a replacement that fans would get excited by.

Earlier today ROH announced that former World Champion and long-time staple of the company Jay Lethal would be taking Bandido’s place in the match, despite recently signing a contract with All Elite Wrestling.

With ROH World Champion Bandido unable to appear at the #FinalBattle PPV, ROH officials have signed a new match as part of a double main event that truly encapsulates what ROH has represented for two decades

Lethal recently signed a deal with AEW, after asking ROH for his release when the company announced a hiatus.

Jonathan Gresham has been with ROH for 10 years. Gresham has recently announced that he would be starting a new wrestling promotion called Terminus along with fellow wrestler Baron Black.
