AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla, just hosted a canned food drive. The event was the fifth edition of the annual drive. This member of the former group Hit Row used his platform to give back.
Francis announced via his Twitter that the drive was able to collect 15 shopping carts full of food for their charity, Sarah’s House.
Top Dolla hosted this food drive through Francis Sports Academy. The event took place November 19th through November 21st. It took place at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. This event accompanied a series of sports events held by the university. The events are listed below:
- 11/19/21: Men’s Basketball (University of Maryland vs Hofstra University)
- 11/20/21: Football (University of Maryland vs University of Michigan)
- 11/21/21: Women’s Basketball (University of Maryland vs Baylor University)
Top Dolla is asked event attendees to bring non-perishables and canned goods to donate to Sarah’s House in Fort Meade, Maryland. Sarah’s House is a children’s homeless shelter. Sarah’s House’s mission states, “We provide safe shelter, daily meals and casework support for those in need. As a supportive housing program for families experiencing homelessness, Sarah’s House is much more than just a safe place to sleep. Our goal is to effect positive change in the families we serve by providing supportive services.”
