wXw Germany Announce The Return Of The 16 Carat Gold Tournament

wXw Germany have announced the return of the 16 Carat Gold Tournament in 2022. The tournament, which was first held in 2006, would go on to become one of the biggest dates on the European wrestling calendar, attracting competitors from around the world. However it was not held for the first time in its history in 2021 due to the global pandemic.

wXw announced earlier today via social media that the Tournament will make its return next year starting on the 4th of March and finishing on the 16th of March, along with the announcement is a link to a press release statement with all the information regarding 2022 16 Carat Gold Tournament.

In the statement it explains the reasons behind choosing not to hold the tournament in 2021, believing that the 16 Carat Gold Tournament should always be treated as a spectacle, as it’s name would suggest. wXw Germany believed that tournament should not be held and taped in an empty stadium and that the 16 Carat Gold Tournament should be treated as festival with international stars to retain its claim as the biggest main land European wrestling event.

The statement also provided details regarding ticket information, as well as the safety precautions the promotion will be taking that will be in line with any regulations that could be in place at the time of show.
