Keith Lee Says “Fans Don’t Wanna See His Bad Side”

Keith Lee was away from TV for a while earlier this year after it was reported that he had contracted Covid. He had then returned for a small amount of time but then again was pulled for reasons that were not known. he eventually announced after returning that he was in a fight against death during his time out of the ring.

Since his return, Lee has had a few matches on Raw where he has been in a feud with Karrion Kross. He has competed in some dark matches on both Smackdown and Raw. it’s being reported that Lee has been working dark matches as a way to refine his character and is going through another character change as he recently got the moniker of The Bearcat Keith Lee.

While speaking on the Out of Character podcast with Ryan Satin, Keith Lee talked about his current character on Monday Night RAW. Lee was asked about how hands-on Vince McMahon is regarding his character. Lee stated that McMahon is quite hands-on and it is something he needs.

“One thing I’ve had fun with is that it’s been probably one of the greatest challenges. It’s something that people point out, ‘you’re a naturally nice guy, I want to see the other side.’ I’m like, ‘You don’t want that guy.’ The professional Keith is the best case scenario because the guy that played football and the guy who has been through a lot in his life is a different being altogether. They want it and it’s coming and there’s not much anybody will be able to do about it because when I get to that mindset and I’m so fixated, it’s kind of a jet that is hard to stop. Trying to stop a jet with a piece of paper. It’ll be interesting.

“I would say he’s been quite hands on, which is honestly something I need because I want to know what he wants as opposed to making a guess or estimation or hypothesis. If I know what he wants directly, it makes it that much easier to give him what he’s looking for. He’s the man, he runs this, if he wants a specific thing out of his talent, then the talent is to give him what he wants.”

Former WWE writer Vince Russo said that Lee would never get over with fans but that has yet to be seen as he has been floundering in the mid-card. We will have to see the route WWE will go with Lee.
