Ruby Soho Reflects On Her AEW Debut And Time Thus Far With The Company

On June 2 Ruby Riott(Now Ruby Soho) was just one of many WWE superstars who have fell victim to “THE YEAR OF THE RELEASE”. On the WWE Women’s Roster Soho was one of the best competitors on the brand and received praise from her peers regarding her work ethic and personality. After Her release, there was much speculation regarding her status and where she would end up.

After releasing a series of short videos seemingly hinting that she was heading to AEW, Soho made her debut for the company during the Women’s Casino Battle Royal at All Out. Soho was revealed to have pulled the Joker Card in the night’s Battle Royale. The decision to move the match from the Buy-In to the main card was a great one. It did an incredible job of showcasing a talented AEW’s Women’s Division. In the end, Soho would go on to win herself a title shot against Britt Baker, D.M.D by eliminating Thunder Rosa.

In a recent interview with THE DOCTOR CHRIS MUELLER of Bleacher Report Soho reflected on her debut with AEW and her time up until now with the company.

“It was the most spectacular moment in my career, There had been a lot of anticipation building up to that on my end and being worried that I may not be accepted in this new place and that people will maybe be disappointed if I was the Joker or anything like that were a lot of things that were in my mind.

“But when they started to chant “Ruby Soho” before I even came out, it was an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and excitement. I stepped on the stage and immediately felt like I was home, I felt accepted and I had never been so excited about the future of my professional wrestling career.”

On winning the Casino Battle Royal and being in an important spot.

“It’s surreal. I’ve only been here for a few weeks and I’ve already accomplished these incredible milestones and been so honored to be in these huge moments that are a part of the company’s history now.

“I feel like I have accomplished so much, even th”I feel like I have accomplished so much, even though I didn’t walk away as the champion on Dynamite. I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in such a short period of time that I just can’t wait to see what else this place brings and what else I can be a part of. I’m just so excited about the future.”

Last night on Dynamite AEW aired competing vignettes from Soho and Doctor Britt Baker confirming that their feud is far from over.
