WWE Sees Jump In Viewership For NXT 2.0 Debut

Last night we saw the debut of the new NXT 2.0. In the debut episode, we saw a New NXT Champion crowned as Tomaso Champa was victorious in a fatal four-way match against Pete Dunne, LA Knight, and Von Wagner. Wagner was substituted for Kyle O’Reilly after he was attacked by Pete Dunne and Ridge Highland. So How was the viewership for the show?

According toWrestlenomics, the September 14th debut of NXT 2.0 garnered an overnight viewership of 770,000, 275,000 of those viewers were in the 18 to 49 demographic to give them a .21 rating. That might not have been amazing, but it was the highest since April 27th.

The September 7th episode of NXT brought in 601,000 viewers. They also scored a .14 in the 18 to 49 demographic. That was the final week under the old NXT, which was a pre-taped episode.

The August 31st episode of WWE NXT brought in an overnight average of 717,000 viewers with a .17 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. They ranked #23 in the night out of the top 150 cable programs.

We will have to see if NXT can keep up with these numbers after an impressive debut.
