Earlier this week we reported that Ric Flair asked for his release from WWE, and yesterday the company announced that they did in fact release flair. Flair expressed that he and WWE weren’t eye-to-eye on his career direction.
Flair has not made it clear with what his plans in the future are as far as the wrestling business goes, but ‘The Innovator of Violence ‘Tommy Dreamer believes Flair is AEW bound.
On today’s episode of Busted Open Radio Tommy Dreamer made some interesting predictions on Flair’s future
” Hell I’m sure Ric Flair will have no problem, if he doesn’t show up on AEW tonight, I’m sure he’ll show up a different time somewhere.”
He continued to say ‘it’s a different time in wrestling’ and when the issue of Flair came up again he continued to elaborate on his Flair comments.
“He asked for his release, he got his release. so listen you want your release from this show they may have an aww, but eventually if u don’t wanna be their you not gonna be here. He probably has other things. Ric is not stupid, and Ric probably has other things in the fires, that are going on, and like said I’m sure he’ll show up somewhere in the next, or Chicago. I’m sure he’ll show up in AEW.”
AS far as Flair’s options, the sky’s the limit. Obviously, he won’t be an in-ring performer but just to be a voice of any company will be something that will go over with fans.
