Exclusive: Update On Cash Wheeler’s Condition Following Nasty Injury At Fight For The Fallen

There was a really scary moment last night during AEW’s special Fight For The Fallen edition of Dynamite from Charlotte, North Carolina that happened during the tag team match between Santana & Ortiz and FTR.

Towards the end of the match FTR was going for their double-team superplex and top rope splash from opposite corners, but the move was interrupted as Santana rushed over and knocked Cash Wheeler off the top rope. This was when Cash suffered a very serious cut on his right forearm. It appeared that he caught his arm on the top of the ringpost during the fall, slicing open his forearm.

Cash quickly rolled outside and was attended to by ringside officials and doctors, while an audible was called inside the ring to quickly wrap up and finish the match.

I was able to speak to Cash last night following Dynamite to check up on his condition, and he told me “I’ll be all good man,” and thanked me for checking up on him. I hope to have a more detailed update on his condition and what exactly happened that caused his nasty cut at Fight For The Fallen.

You can see a video of when Cash suffered the injury on Dynamite below.

We will keep you updated on the condition of Cash Wheeler as we hear more.
