Exclusive: Rey Fenix Injury Update

AEW held their annual Double or Nothing Pay-Per-View this past weekend in Jacksonville. Missing from the card was Death Triangle member Rey Fenix, who has been out of action since April due to injury.

Rey Fenix’s last match was on the April 26th episode of AEW Dark Elevation, when he defeated Chuck Taylor. It was reported last month that Fenix would be missing Double Or Nothing due to injury, but no specific details or timetable for his return was given at the time.

Initial reports on his injury last month stated that it was believed that Fenix suffered the injury during a match in Mexico, but exactly when the injury occurred has not been confirmed.

I reached out for an update on the injury status of Rey Fenix, and sources told me that he has been dealing with a groin injury. It was initially stated that he was to miss 6 to 8 weeks, which would put him back roughly a month from now.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Rey Fenix’s injury and any updates on his return.
