WWE Expected To Announce More Releases Soon

Yesterday, WWE announced the release of six Superstars. Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Buddy Murphy and Santana Garrett were all released from their WWE contracts on Wednesday.

Reason for the most recent wave of Superstar releases was once again cited as being due to “budget cuts.” There have also been rumors and rumblings that WWE might potentially be gearing up to sell the company.

It’s being said that more WWE roster cuts are coming, it won’t be today but we could expect them to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

According to a report from Andrew Zarian via the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, there are indeed more WWE releases coming. Zarian reports that while the cuts won’t be coming today, we should expect more releases over the next few weeks.

“I would say some more cuts to be announced in the coming weeks…Expect some more cuts.”

Former WWE Superstar Matt Cardona, known as Zack Ryder during his time with WWE, commented on yesterday’s shocking wave of releases, saying that every one of the six released wrestlers will be just fine.
