Progress Wrestling Chapter 110: Skeleton Head – Full Card Preview

Progress Wrestling are back in action today with Chapter 110: Skeleton Head and has 7 matches in total lined up;

Danny Black Vs Spike Trivet

Trivet is currently on a roll, amassing a three match winning streak having seen off Chris Ridgeway, Chuck Mumbo and most recently Ethan Allen. Black on the other hand has not had the best of luck since crashing out of the Natural Progression Series in the semi-finals, he has twice fallen in tag team action alongside Cara Noir and Chris Ridgeway and most recently he went to war with Chris Ridgeway only to fall short.

Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final

Charlie Sterling and Nick Riley vs Lykos Gym (Kid Lykos and Kid Lykos II)

Sterling and Riley impressed on their debut at Progress Wrestling in Chapter 109, advancing to the Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final after they defeated Greedy Souls (Danny Jones and Brendan White) despite teaming together for the very first time. Lykos Gym had a bye to the Semi-Finals so did not compete in a Quarter Final match but are unbeaten as a team in Progress. The Lykos Gym will have the experience advantage as a team and they will need it, as Riley and Sterling will have a considerable size advantage, of course whenever the Lykos Gym are involved you can always expect some shenanigans.

Mercedez Blaze Vs Alexxis Falcon

Blaze and Falcon faced off with each other at the last chapter and thanks to some underhanded tactics from Blaze she was able to come out on top of that match, following the match Falcon would demand another chance against Blaze. It hasn’t been the easiest starts for Falcon since debuting for Progress in the women’s ThunderBastard match, she has faced Millie McKenzie and Blaze in singles action failing to win either match. Blaze has been on some what of roll since loosing to Millie McKenzie, she has managed to pick up wins against Kanji and Falcon although on both occasions it was due to either underhanded tactics or outside help.

Gene Munney vs Elijah

A match that promises plenty of hard hitting action. Elijah’s current singles record is 1 win and 1 loss. As part of the Natural Progression Tournament, Elijah crashed out in the first round after being defeated by Danny Black. Since then he has impressed with a win over Progress favourite Chuck Mambo. Munny has the same record with 1 win and 1 loss after picking up a hard fought victory over TK Cooper, he was unable to defeat his student Warren Banks.

Chris Ridgeway vs Warren Banks

This promises to be a hard hitting clash, both competitors are coming off wins in their last outings so both will be looking to maintain momentum in efforts to work their way to title shot. Banks has been truly impressive since his debut in the Natural Progression series, where he defeated Big Guns Joe and Danny Black en route to the finals of the tournament, since then Banks has also managed to defeat his mentor, Gene Munny. Chris Ridgeway has had mixed fortune since Progress has returned to action, picking up the win in a fatal 4 way to earn a championship match against Cara Noir, his current singles record is 1 win 2 losses.

Tag Team Tounament Semi-Final

Sunshine Machine (Chuck Mambo and TK Cooper) vs Young Guns (Ethan Allen and Luke Jacobs)

The two teams clashed back at chapter 107 in an incredible match, in which Sunshine Machine came out on top. Sunshine Machine have been on a bit of roll since teaming up together, including the win over Young Guns, Sunshine Machine were able to overcome the team of Gene Muuny and Big Guns Joe in the opening round of the tag team tournament. The Young Guns will be extra motivated for this match for two reasons, one to erase the earlier loss to Sunshine Machine and two to hopefully face Lykos Gym in the final as the two teams had issues last week. The Young Guns made to the semi finals of the tournament defeating the team of Danny Black and their North West Strong stable mate Chris Ridgeway in the first round.

Round 2 Of The Best Of 3 Series For The Progress Women’s Championship

Gisele Shaw (0) vs Kanji (1)

Kanji is currently 1 match up after picking up the victory at Chapter 109. The competitors have been locked in in conflict since chapter 105 where Gisele Shaw attacked Kanji with a steel pipe during the women’s ThunderBastard match. Gisele Shaw has had chip on a shoulder ever since the return, believing her self to the rightful number 1 contender and has singled out Kanji to unleash her frustrations. Kanji actually now holds two victories over Shaw having defeated her at Chapter 107 and most recently in the first match of the best of three series at the last chapter. Kanji has been on a fire since arriving in Progress with victories over Shaw and McKenzie her only loss has been to Mercedez Blaze which was only due to interference from Gisele Shaw.

Progress Wrestling Chapter 110: Skeleton will be available to stream today on the WWE Network as well as on their on-demand service Demand Progress from 5pm GMT.
