Progress Wrestling, Chapter 109: Dreaming in 3D – Full Card Preview

Following on Chapter 108 2 weeks ago, Progress Wrestling are back with Chapter 109: Dreaming in 3D on Saturday the 24th of April. This next chapter will see the continuation of the Progress Wrestling Tag Team Tournament, as well as kicking off the best of 3 series between Kanji and Gisele Shaw to crown a new Progress Women’s Champion. Plus plenty more action from some of the best British wrestling talent from across the country.

Luke Jacobs vs Kid Lykos II

Lykos II is yet to pick up a win in singles competition despite some impressive performances he will need to rely on all the dirty tricks he has learnt from the original Kid Lykos if he is contend with the size and strength advantage Jacobs will have. Jacobs will have a huge advantage in power, he has impressed both as part of a Tag Team and Singles competitor having won the Natural Progression series, he will have to have eyes on the back of his head for this match you never know what shenanigans the Lykos Gym might pull.

Alexxis Falcon vs Mercedez Blaze

Falcon is still looking for her first win in a Progress Wrestling ring, she impressed during the thunderbastard match but was eliminated without scoring a victory, she also really impressed in her last match out against the departing Millie McKenzie, can she finally pick up her first win. Mercedez Blaze has mixed fortune so far since Progress returned but an alliance of sorts with Gisele Shaw saw her pick up a win against the previously undefeated Kanji, will the Shaw/Blaze alliance once again pay dividends in her match against Falcon.

Chris Ridgeway vs Danny Black

Ridgeway needs a win, having been on a bit of a losing streak since failing to win the Progress Championship from Cara Noir, Ridgeway has picked up losses against Spike Trivet and in tag team action with Ethan Allen and Danny Black. Its that tag team match in which he teamed with Danny Black that has lead to this match, after Ridgeway turned on Black when he tagged himself into the match. It was Black who asked for this match against Ridgeway stating he knows just how dangerous Ridgeway is but he wants some pay back, has the young competitor bitten off more than he can chew.

Greedy Souls (Brendan White and Danny Jones) vs Charlie Sterling and Nick Riley

A quartet of debuts for this last quarter final match in the Progress Wrestling Tag Team Tournament. The Welsh duo White and Jones form the tag team Greedy Souls, Jones has been a regular on NXT UK where as Brendan White has been making waves in the Rev Pro contenders division, they have great mix of technical wrestling and power wrestling. Charlie Sterling is one of the most underrated heavyweight wrestlers in British Wrestling, he has plenty experience as both a singles wrestler and Tag team wrestler, Riley has nearly ten years of experience so the pair from the south east have plenty to bring to the table.

Ethan Allen vs Spike Trivet

Trivet is one big win away from earning himself a title shot with impressive victories over Chris Ridgeway and Chuck Mambo, Trivet has completely revamped his look and his with vicious technical wrestling style, Trivet is threat in and out the ring. Allen is more of Tag Team wrestler but can more than hold his own in singles action, having picked up a win in solo action over Kid Lykos II he is adept in all aspects of wrestling in particular his striking and submission wrestling. This match has all makings of classic British technical wrestling match.

Gisele Shaw vs Kanji

The first in a best of three series to crown a new Progress Women’s Champion. Kanji already holds one victory over Shaw and will be going into this with some extra motivation after Shaw interfered in Kanji’s match against Mercedez Blaze at the last chapter. Shaw has come back to Progress with a chip on her shoulder ever since she was due to compete in the women’s Thunderbastard match to crown a No. 1 contender, after claiming to already be the No. 1 contender Shaw would get her self disqualified in the match after she attacked Kanji with a metal pipe. Kanji would go on to win the match. With both having claims to being the No. 1 contender Progress saw it fit for them to compete in best of three series to crown a new champion following Jinny relinquishing the title at the last chapter.

You can catch all the action of Chapter 109: Dreaming in the 3D Saturday the 24th of April from 5pm GMT, on the WWE Network or the Demand Progress Steaming site.
