Last night on Raw, Sheamus instituted his own United States Title Open Challenge. After laying waste to Humberto Carrillo on Raw, he took to social media to make sure the locker room got the notice he’s going to be fighting. This definitely attracted interest, especially from the NXT brands.
His tweet about his open challenge was answered interestingly by two stars from NXT and the NXT: UK brand. Pete Dunne used a gif of himself to tease accepting his challenge, while Wolfgang from the Gallus faction teased accepting the challenge himself.
WWE has always been high on Dunne and was once on Raw when he took on (and defeated) Enzo Amore. While the same may not be said for Wolfgang, it’s clear Sheamus will not be short of challengers willing to step up to him and face him for his title.
