John Cena Sr. Says The Emotional Moment Between Bianca Belair And Sasha Banks Was Scripted

Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair got rather emotional before their match at WrestleMania 37. Knowing the historic gravity of their match, Banks and Belair were visibly tearing up before the bell even rang. It was a moment that stuck out for many fans, but one person thinks the tears weren’t genuine.

John Cena Sr. spoke to Boston Wrestling MWF and gave his thoughts on the moment, saying that he felt the emotional scene was far from genuine and writers instructed the two to cry.

“I’m going right back to where the fault belongs: W-R-I-T-E-R-S. Who wrote that session for those young ladies to come in and start crying? Somebody had to write it. No, I don’t believe that [that the crying was real]. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes [Banks and Belair were instructed to cry].”

He went on to add that the crying during the opening didn’t put any more polish on the show. The controversial opinion will surely be spoken about and many will disagree with the elder Cena, but real or not the fans will remember the moment.
