Ivelisse Speaks On AEW Release, Claims Thunder Rosa Was “Slandering” Her

Yesterday, it was found out that All Elite Wrestling parted ways with Ivelisse Velez. The now former partner of Diamante had been given a respectable position in the comapny for not having a full time deal, though she had claimed to have signed one months ago.

Fightful Select spoke to her regarding her and AEW parting ways and she explained her side of the story, claiming that she spoke up about “mistreatment” on the roster leading her to be left in limbo. She then said the release came after nothing was done about Thunder Rosa allegedly “slandering” her name.

“I spoke up about mistreatment from a Coach, even to other women too, there were witnesses and I was the one suspended and left in limbo and just now let go, and nothing has been done at all the entire time about (Thunder Rosa) slandering my name the entire time in AEW and doing everything to sabotage my position there, I kept quiet, (Thunder Rosa) also has a history of getting involved with officials in order to get ahead which there was a lawsuit and everything in (Lucha Underground).”

The issues between Thunder Rosa and Ivelisse have been well documented in AEW, and while she has tried to pin the issue on Rosa, reports of Ivelisse having a bad attitude and confrontations with the coaches have surfaced even more than they did prior to her release. While they seemed to have been patient with her prior to that, we may have to wait to see if there’s more to come.
