Triple H Discusses The Debate If Bad Bunny Is “Taking Someone’s Spot” At WrestleMania

Bad Bunny is days away from having his first ever pro wrestling match, and after last night’s Raw we now know it is a tag team match. Bunny will be teaming with Damian Priest to face The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania, and there is a lot of buzz in mainstream media over the world famous pop star getting involved in the ring.

However, there are a section of fans still vocal and upset about Bunny’s use at WrestleMania, feeling he has “stolen” a spot from another WWE Superstar at WrestleMania. One person with an opinion to share about this is Triple H. He spoke about this on the Pardon My Take podcast.

“I think some people look at Bad Bunny and go, ‘What is he doing in WWE? I wish they wouldn’t do that or whatever.’ He’s one of the guys that from a celebrity standpoint, he’s been a huge fan, and I’ve met him a few times and I knew he was at that level of fandom. But when I say dedicated himself to the idea that he was going to do something with WWE, like picked himself up, rented a house in Orlando and moved to Orlando, and has been at the PC every day. I see people online going, ‘First time he takes a bump in the ring he’ll be done with.’ That was a long time ago. He is tearing it up in the ring every day. When people say, ‘He’s taken up a spot,’ he’s earned my respect and the spot that he has.”

The WWE has had a great track record recently with celebrities getting into the ring. Pat McAfee and Stephen Amell drew rave reviews for their performances in a WWE ring, and considering how much work Bad Bunny seems to have put into his training, he may turn some heads at WrestleMania.
