British Legend Doug Richards Comes Out Of Retirement, Looking For Bookings

British Wrestling legend Doug Williams announced earlier today that after the past the year, he realised life was to short to not be doing what he loves to do and has made the decision to come out of retirement and is now looking for bookings;

Doug Williams made the announcement via twitter earlier today;

Williams’ tweet has been well received by many of the top British and International performers who responded to tweet, congratulating the performer and offering themselves as possible opponents these include; Chris Ridgeway, Dave Bradshaw, Gideon Grey, Joel Redman, Charlie Sterling, Mad Kurt and many more.

Doug Williams has been in the wrestling industry for 30+ years starting back with Hammerlock wrestling in the UK, before travelling all over the world competing.

Williams has competed for several top promotions around the world including a stint in ROH where he held the ROH Pure title. As part of TNA he was both X Division champion and Tag Team champion as part of the British Invasion with Brutus Magnus (Nick Aldis) he also won the IWGP tag titles at the time with British Invasion. Williams also held titles all around the UK and Europe including; Progress Wrestling, wXw Germany, WAW, Maximum wrestling and many more.

Williams is one of the best British Wrestlers to ever lace his boots, his coming out of retirement can only be a good thing for the young British Wrestlers who will now have a chance to work and learn from the veteran.
