Charlotte Flair Talks Advice She Gave To Rhea Ripley Ahead Of WrestleMania 36 Match

Rhea Ripley has long admitted her first ever WrestleMania appearance was nothing like she had expected it would be. The thought of a packed Raymond James Stadium gave way to the empty Performance Center for WrestleMania, and the whole experience changed. Ripley’s own family couldn’t be in attendance as she faced Charlotte Flair.

The experience was different for everyone, but a first WrestleMania is a first WrestleMania. Charlotte Flair was a guest on the NotSam Wrestling podcast and talked about advice she gave to Ripley ahead of their encounter.

“I felt bad for her because I’m sure she didn’t picture her first WrestleMania in an empty arena. I said, ‘Listen, if you can really show people how talented you are, it’s right now. This could possibly be the most-watched WrestleMania of all-time. Just because they are not in the seats, doesn’t mean they aren’t watching at home. If you really want to show people how good you are, show them right now. Make people forget that there is no people here.’ That’s how I approached it and how I told her to approach it. To me, there is so much unfinished with Rhea. We had this fantastic match, people know what she’s capable of, she pushed me to the limit. Unfinished business. I feel that amount of pressure for WrestleMania this year because I don’t know what the future holds.”

Charlotte has yet to have her opponent announced for WrestleMania, but she did challenge Asuka for the RAW Women’s Title last Monday on Raw. While it seems the logical thing to happen now, many are already against the idea in the WWE fanbase, including Peyton Royce’s mother.
