The Young Bucks’ Father Wanted To Cut Open His Forehead To Sell The Attack On Dynamite
Last night on Dynamite, the father of the Young Bucks was the victim of a heinous attack by MJF and Chris Jericho. The assault left the father of Matt and Nick Jackson blooded and taken off in an ambulance. While it’s common to see such a scene for wrestlers, Papa Jackson is not a trained wrestler. However, he wanted to make his big moment on Dynamite look good.
On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that Papa Buck was willing to cut his forehead to help sell the beat down from Chris Jericho and MJF but AEW told him that they couldn’t do that, leaving them to use fake blood.
“The first question I asked about AEW last night was, ‘Papa Buck wanted to cut himself, didn’t he?’ The answer was ‘yes.’ He wanted to gig and be bleeding all over the place, but then they were like, ‘Brother you can’t do that.’ So, then they put on the fake blood; and so if you’re complaining about fake blood — the one guy complaining about fake blood was the guy covered in fake blood. He wanted a crimson mask of razor bladed guts.”
The angle really helped enhance the heat between the two teams on the road to Revolution, and while next week will see a press conference with MJF and Chris Jericho on Dynamite, the Young Bucks will no doubt be looking for revenge next week with days before Revolution.
