The last few months have seen Lashley protected in a big way. A dominant United States Title reign followed by not being the one taking the pin at Elimination Chamber as Riddle captured gold. Now it seems Lashley’s on a collision course with The Miz for the WWE Title this coming Monday on Raw, and one person sees the potential of him enough that they think he should be the franchise for the company.
JBL was on WWE’s The Bump this week and talking with Kayla Braxton and company, the former WWE Champion revealed he thinks Bobby Lashley has all the skills and tools needed to be the centerpiece of the WWE.
“Build the company around Bobby Lashley. He’s that good. He looks that good, he’s that good looking as a human being. Incredible body, incredible athlete. You look at who he’s calling out. He’s calling out guys that you wouldn’t even whisper calling out: Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar. You build a company around Bobby Lashley.”
Lashley looked to be on track to be one of the WWE’s top stars during his first run with the company but he wound up leaving the company right as it seemed he was reaching his peak. Now he’s back and it looks like he’s got himself a position at the top of the mountain.
