AEW Wins Ratings War With Both Shows Increasing Viewership

The Wednesday Night Wars raged on last night with both AEW and NXT promising big things. NXT had the fallout of TakeOver: Vengeance Day while Dynamite promised a huge Tag Team Title match and a wild main event. Who won the night?

Both shows made gains from last week but AEW continued its winning streak with an overnight average of 747,000 viewers with a .31 in the coveted 18-49 demographic, a small jump from the previous week. Meanwhile NXT had a much larger increase in last week’s viewership with 713,000 viewers with a .16 in the very same.

These are both up from last week, with AEW having 741,000 viewers and NXT having 558,000. Both also saw demographic gains with AEW having .29 last week and NXT having .12 in the same.

The previous week was a major point in the Wednesday Night War as NXT had 844,000 viewers and was the #3 show on cable that night while NXT was down to 610,000 viewers and didn’t rank in the top 50 cable shows for the night.
