Backstage News On Elimination Chamber Pay Per View Plans

WWE is scrambling to put together this year’s Elimination Chamber pay per view, and they don’t have much time left to do it. The show is on February 21st, leaving them a little over a week to put things together.

Raw kicked things off, showing they have three matches prepared, and SmackDown should help flesh out the remainder of the card, but there’s one match we are sure won’t be happening and it might disappoint some fans.

While Raw will feature an Elimination Chamber match where Drew McIntyre will defend the WWE Title, there will be a second Elimination Chamber match this year, but it doesn’t look like the women will be involved with one this year. The second one will be SmackDown related, but it doesn’t look like the women will be involved.

A tenured member of the creative team told Ringside News told them a women’s Chamber match might be in the minds of “Vince, Bruce, Koskey, maybe Callahan, maybe HHH? Maybe.” However, it doesn’t seem like the women will be involved in one at least as of now. Vince can always change his mind, and has done so in the past, but it doesn’t look good for the women this year to have an Elimination Chamber match.

In addition to the Elimination Chamber matches, the card also features Asuka defending the Raw Women’s Title against Lacey Evans and a triple threat match for the United States Title with Lashley defending against Riddle and Keith Lee.
