Big E On Being A Part Of Kofi Kingston’s WrestleMania 35 Run

Kofi Kingston had the best singles run of his career in 2019, which culminated in him winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. His entire run up to that point was known as ‘KofiMania.’

While speaking on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, New Day member Big E talked about Kofi Kingston’s run into WrestleMania 35.

Big E revealed his feelings during the historic moment when Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship at the event. Big E felt fortunate he was part of ‘KofiMania.’

“One of the things that I really respected was that Kofi – there were so many times where he could have just made it about himself, and he was still always trying to include the three of us. And that, I really appreciate, because it was his moment, honestly, and we were fortunate enough to be along for the ride, and I’m glad that we got to do the storyline with the gauntlet match, the tag team gauntlet match, where we got to, kind of get Kofi – that was cool. The reaction to that was really cool, too.”

Kofi Kingston went on to lose the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in a squash match in October 2019.
