A lot of reports seem to be conflicting on Aleister Black and his future. While one report says that his name is never brought up in creative meetings, another report says they have major plans for him on SmackDown.
However, whatever the truth is, it seems that Aleister Black isn’t even backstage at SmackDown recently. Fightful has reported that it’s been quite some time since The Dutch Destroyer has been seen backstage.
You haven’t seen Aleister Black on WWE TV since being drafted to Smackdown, which was around the time his wife Zelina was fired from the company. Sources on Smackdown have indicated to us that they’ve not seen him at all backstage since after the Zelina release. We haven’t heard as to whether or not there are any specific issues between Black and WWE, but one person we talked to in the company seems to think that they’re letting any ill will between the two subside.
Black was a key part of Raw during Paul Heyman’s tenure as Executive Director of the show, something that changed when he was fired and Bruce Prichard took over. While it seems like there’s conflicting reports on whether or not WWE has creative ideas for Black, he’s sitting at home and waiting for them to come up with one or pull the trigger on this “big” idea.
