For the first time in a few weeks, Rey and Dominik Mysterio were on SmackDown last night. The father and son tandem resumed their rivalry with King Corbin, but absent was Rey’s daughter Aalyah and on-screen boyfriend Murphy.
Ringside News has reported that while Aalyah wasn’t seen backstage this week, Murphy was there but not used. It’s unclear why they didn’t use Murphy, though it’s entirely possible like most talents creative had nothing for him that night.
Though it seemed like WWE put a quick end to the Murphy/Seth Rollins feud shortly before Rollins took his leave of absence, Murphy has been scarce on television since then. Perhaps his on screen future is still hitched to Rollins.
