Several Talents Frustrated With Piped In Crowd Reactions In WWE ThunderDome

Having a setup like the WWE ThunderDome allows the WWE production team to do many things. It allows them to pull off moments like the end of last month’s TLC pay per view, or it can even make sure the crowd reaction leans the way you want. Unfortunately, that’s left some talent frustrated.

This week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter has reported some “underneath talent” are growing frustrated by WWE’s big brother like control of the fan reactions. Stars that once got great reactions despite their push are getting different reactions because Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn can control the sound of the reactions in the ThunderDome.

The ability to completely control reactions has led to frustration in some of the underneath talent because they realize the company creates the sound based on who they want to push and who they don’t, and then you have to face the fact that you’re not on the list of people they want to push, and whatever you do, you can’t get the reaction from the fans to change that.

The ThunderDome gives Vince McMahon an opportunity to have control in a way he’s never had before which is both a dream for him and frustrating for talent. With no fans to gauge reactions to ideas, Vince has no idea what is actually working or not outside whatever his closest associates tell him are working. It definitely leaves plenty of room for error as frustration and anger grows among talent.
