WWE Locks Down New Trademarks, Including For New NXT: UK Star And Former IMPACT Star

WWE has been locking down trademarks left and right for their stars over the last few weeks and they continue to do so as they lock down five names, some of them already quite familiar.

Fightful has reported WWE filed trademarks for the following names on January 8th.

  • Tony Gill
  • Ben Carter
  • Tino Sabbatelli
  • Joshua Bruns

WWE continued to use the similar forms as they do for other names, namely entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances.

Most of these names are pretty clear who they’re for already. Ben Carter just debuted on NXT: UK and was a top independent star that nearly signed with AEW. Tino Sabbatelli was formerly with the WWE in NXT, but was released during the COVID-19 pandemic and then re-signed not long ago.

Tony Gill was revealed on the WWE website as former IMPACT star Gursinder Singh. Singh was part of the Desi Hit Squad with Rohit Raju and was trained by Lance Storm.

While it’s unsure who Joshua Bruns will be used for, it is noted that the real name of former EVOLVE star Josh Briggs who signed with the company not long ago, is Joshua Brun.
