Chris Jericho Reveals He Had COVID-19 Around September Of 2020

In a strange case of irony, Chris Jericho has revealed he was diagnosed with COVID-19 earlier this summer.

After an episode of Talk Is Jericho talking about COVID-19’s seriousness as a conspiracy theory, and participating in a concert this past summer that wound up being classified as a “super spreader event,” Jericho talked more about the pandemic with Dr. Alex Patel on Talk Is Jericho.

During the conversation, Jericho revealed that he couldn’t remember exactly when it was, but it was during the summer. According to him, he wound up being asymptomatic.

“I haven’t told anybody this, but I tested positive in maybe September. I had zero symptoms. I had my ten days in isolation and stayed away from everybody. I didn’t have a symptom. I didn’t even know that I had it. I went and got a test, just in general, and it said I was positive. I was like, ‘Really? Are you serious?’ I had nothing. I didn’t have a headache, I didn’t have a cough, which is a lucky thing, but on top of that, once I did have it — and it wasn’t a false positive, because I took three different tests and they were all positive — but now, I have the antibodies.”

If Jericho was positive for COVID-19 during September, he was active in AEW during the time. The company does every other week for two days, so a 10 day quarantine is possible. However, it does open up some questions. He is also not the only AEW star to reveal they tested positive for COVID-19 quietly over that period of time, as Nick Jackson revealed he tested positive back in September as well.
