Tatanka Believes His 2 Year Undefeated Streak Had More Wins Goldberg’s

Tatanka recently returned to the WWE as part of WWE RAW’s Legends Night and he also recently appeared on Boston Wrestling’s MWF show for an interview with Dan Mirade. During the interview Tatanka spoke about Pat Paterson, Road Warrior Animal Yokozuna and more, including his 2 year undefeated streak.

Tatanka would note that his 2 year undefeated streak actually dwarfed that of WWE Legend Goldberg who’s famous WCW streak numbered at 173 matches. Stating that as a WWE Performer doing house shows on the road, he was competing up to twice a day and that the number of matches would easily eclipse Goldberg’s total

Tatanka on his WWE Undefeated streak;

“We literally wrestled about 500 times a year, not including if you were being used on TV by Vince McMahon. You would wrestle at least twice [per day]. Everyone always talks about Tatanka, the undefeated streak, the two-year undefeated streak. Goldberg, 173-0, when we finally figure it out and we start talking to everybody, actually I’d probably be close to 1,000-0 because I went two years undefeated.”

Tatanka on his Undefeated streak

Tatanka’s run in WWE lasted for 6 years and although he had an impressive run with the company which included the aforementioned 2 year undefeated streak, Tatanka never held a championship in the WWE. The closest he ever came to holding gold was beating Shaun Micheals at Wrestlemainia 9, defeating the then Intercontinental champion by a count-out. Despite never winning a title his 2 year undefeated lives on and is enough for him to be seen as WWE Legend, making sporadic appearances for the WWE including the most recent Legends Night.
