Nick Jackson Of The Young Bucks Reveals He Contracted COVID-19 Back In September

The COVID-19 pandemic has hit friends and family, along with the pro wrestling industy. We’ve reported on two legends in Bobby Fulton and Les Thatcher contracting the novel coronavirus this week, in addition to WWE ring announcer Greg Hamilton’s girlfriend testing positive.

We recently discovered it affected AEW as well, as Nick Jackson from The Young Bucks revealed it on his Instagram. In a post on his story, he revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 in September of last year, also noting he had a more severe case of it. He was bedridden for three weeks, in addition to losing his sense of taste and smell. It also left him with hives on his body. All of this was revealed as he expressed shock some people still don’t believe COVID-19 is serious.

“Crazy to think there’s still COVID deniers out there in the world. I had a pretty bad case of COVID in early September that kept me bedridden for nearly 3 weeks. I couldn’t taste or smell for 2 and a half months. At one point my whole body had hives on it and my doctor said that it was definetly from COVID. Matt had to do the majority of the work in matches once I returned safely because I couldn’t catch my breath. My cardios is finally back but it tooks months to finally feel like myself again. Let’s protect each other and wear (a) mask.”

COVID-19 has been rough on the Jacksons this year, as Matt revealed recently their aunt had passed away from COVID-19. Please remember to wear a mask, practice social distancing when capable, and be mindful of the health of others in this difficult time.
