WWE Airs Commercial In India For Original Programming

WWE seems to be preparing for their India expansion by changing things up in their programming in the country.

The WWE Network is no longer available to Indian fans “in its current form” as the company has now sold rights to their programming to SONY, their television provider in the country. WWE programming will begin to air through SonyLIV in the country. Now, advertisements have begun for the country’s NXT programming.

The company has already started building the roster, along with doing promo photo shoots for them, in addition to beginning their content. They have even enlisted Jeff Jarrett for help in the expansion. Now, they have revealed a commercial for the first show to be original programming in the country, calling it “WWE Superstar Spectacle.” The show will be a one night tournament to air January 26th, which is Republic Day in India. The WWE Network will have the special, while fans in India will be able to watch this on SonyLIV.

While it had been reported that NXT India would start with a tournament, it is not confirmed this will be it. They will be filming this show and perhaps we will hear what is coming next shortly after.
