Tito Ortiz Thrown Out Of Huntington Beach City Council Meeting

The world of politics has become increasingly strange over the last few years, with Donald Trump as President of the United States being the icing on top. The move has emboldened other public personalities to find themselves seeking public office, and one of them is former UFC fighter Tito Ortiz.

Ortiz won an election in Huntington Beach, California this past November to become Mayor pro tempore, meaning that the City Council has asked him to act as mayor in the absence of the town having one. Ortiz ran on a Trumpist-platform, even using the slogan “Make Huntington Beach Great Again” during his campaign. His term has already been marred with negative press and altercations with his constituents, one where video revealed he managed to get in the face of the camera man and getting increasingly aggressive.

Ortiz can now add being thrown out of a City Council meeting to his list of accomplishments in his term, as he was removed for refusing to wear a mask again. Ortiz took to social media to react to his removal. The City Council has actually made it clear to Council members that if they do not wish to wear masks, they may attend the meeting via Zoom. Ortiz ignored the mandate and said that his decision not to wear masks was because “It’s against my constitutional rights.”

You can listen to Ortiz’s reaction to some of his misdeeds below.
