Nick Adlis’ NWA World Title Reign passes 800 days

Current NWA champion “The National Treasure” Nick Aldis has now held the “Ten Pounds of Gold” for over 800 consecutive days (808 days currently).

Nick Aldis’ 2nd run as NWA champion started when he defeated Cody Rhodes at NWA 70 on October 21st 2018. Nick Aldis first run as champion lasted 266 days before he lost the belt to Cody at the All In event on September 1st 2018, in total Nick Aldis has held the NWA championship for 1,074 days.

Nick Aldis retained his championship throughout the entirety of NWA’s weekly YouTube show NWA Power, where he defeated the likes of Tim Storm and former ROH wrestler Marty Scurll. Unfortunately the global health pandemic hampered the NWA forcing them to halt production, things only got worse for the NWA when Dave Lagana was forced to step down as well as several major talents parting ways with the company.

NWA returned to YouTube last month with NWA Shockwave thanks to United Wrestling Network but the show only lasted for 4 episodes, some of the NWA talent have recently appeared on AEW including NWA Women’s Champion Serena Debb. Nick Aldis has recently come forward stating that NWA Power will be returning to YouTube in the near future.
