This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW ended with Goldberg challenging Drew McIntyre for the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble.
As reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the new WWE Title match was planned just a few days earlier. WWE officials thought no one else was ready to face McIntyre for the title.
It was also decided by officials that Goldberg going after Roman Reigns was not a red herring. After that they decided to have Goldberg vs McIntyre for the Royal Rumble.
We will have to see how WWE will decide to book their current feud.
