Widow of Brodie Lee Unleashes Emotional Statement In Regards Controversial Column

Brodie Lee’s illness that eventually led to his death was kept secret from his co-workers, and those that knew in AEW worked hard to respect the Huber family’s privacy during a very difficult time.

The insistance of some fans and wrestling journalists to demand more answers from All Elite Wrestling and Amanda Huber grew despicable, with Bruce Mitchell formerly of PWTorch writing a column that was not only blasted by Chris Hero, but led to his dismissal from the website and ending his near three decade run with the website. His doubling down on his stance in the column, in addition to some fans even taking his side led Amanda Huber to have enough.

Huber took to social media to release a statement venting her anger and frustration at Mitchell and those fans for disrespecting her privacy, doubling down on her statement that the lung disease that caused Lee’s passing was non-COVID related. As AEW and friends reveal it was the Huber family’s wishes to keep his health situation private, it becomes more obvious that this was a situation that was building long before the public knew about it, and that we should accept their explanation at face value.

Brodie Lee’s family and friends deserve a right to privacy, no matter how much of a public figure he was. Here’s hoping Bruce Mitchell has learned his lesson from an experience he deserved criticism for. Below is Amanda Huber’s statement.
