Vince Russo Says WWE’S Current Treatment Of Keith Lee Is To Teach Him “A Lesson”

It’s a confusing time to be a Keith Lee fan.

The plus side is Lee is on television almost every week and when he is, he’s interacting with the main event acts on Raw.

The downside is the rest. Lee was recently sent back to the PC to work on his in-ring work, leaving people in the locker room “baffled” over the decision. It doesn’t help that Vince McMahon reportedly “doesn’t see it” in Keith Lee, and apparently all of this is adding up to something if you believe Vince Russo.

Lee was beaten this past week in a two-on-one handicapped match against The Miz and John Morrison last night on Raw and during an appearance on the Legion of Raw podcast, Vince Russo gave his thoughts on the way WWE is handling Lee currently. He believes all of this is meant to teach Lee a lesson.

Here’s the fascinating thing to me. Okay? We read earlier in the week that Keith Lee was sent back to NXT for training during the week. So when I’m seeing Keith Lee get beat here, this is them taking Keith Lee down a few pegs. I know how it works – ‘This guy thinks too highly of himself, let’s take him down a few pegs’.

Lee did lose to two guys that are pretty high on the card, so all things considered, this was hardly a bury job by any means. That doesn’t mean Russo is wrong though. That also doesn’t mean he’s right. Time will see how this all plays out.
