Exclusive: Update On Rey Fenix Following Match On Dynamite

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT, we saw a six-man tag team match which saw Lance Archer and The Lucha Bros taking on Eddie Kingston and The Butcher & The Blade.

The match ended up being a 2-on-3 handicap match when Pénta El Zero M was taken to the back after being put through the timekeeper’s table. We exclusively reported yesterday that Penta actually injured his leg a couple weeks back while training, and that the table spot was just a means to get him out of the match.

Towards the end of the match, there was a spot which saw Rey Fenix do a flipping senton dive through the ropes onto Eddie Kingston on the floor. Fenix came up a little short however, and he took a pretty rough bump onto the floor and ended up hitting the back of his head.

You can see a video of the spot below.

I reached out to my sources within AEW following last night’s Dynamite to inquire about the condition of Rey Fenix after hitting his head during the spot on the floor. I was told that he is okay but he “got rocked.”

He should be fine going forward, and isn’t expected to missing any time.
