WWE Cruiserweight Championship Set To Be Defended On NXT UK Tonight.

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship is set to be defended on tonight’s edition of NXT UK on BT Sports and the WWE Network 8pm GMT. No, Santos Escobar has not made the trip to the UK, instead Jordan Devlin is set to defend his WWE Cruiserweight championship against Amir Jordan.

Jordan Devlin won the WWE Cruiserweight championship on 25th of January this year during a fatal 4 way match against Isiah “Swerve” Scott, Angel Garza and disgraced former WWE NXT UK star Travis Banks. However after the pandemic hit the world, Jordan Devlin was unable defend his championship due to travel restrictions and the WWE held a tournament to decide an interim champion, following this Jordan Devlin was suspended by the WWE following accusations made during the speaking out movement.

On the 29th of October’s edition of NXT UK Jordan Devlin made his return to TV defeating Levi Muir in his first match back. On last weeks edition of NXT UK Sid Scalla, the assistant general manger said he had spoken with William Regal, confirming that the WWE are allowing Jordan Devlin to defend his Cruiserweight championship on NXT UK.

Overhearing that Jordan Devlin was looking for challengers for his Cruiserweight championship, Kenny Williams offered his services, however due to an injury Williams said it would have to be in couple of weeks time. Williams’ tag team partner Amir Jordan then chimed in that he is ready to go next week, following a quick check with Williams that it was okay, the match was announced for the 26th of November edition of NXT UK.

NXT UK airs at 8pm GMT and is available on the +WWE Network as well as BT Sports in the UK, will you be tuning in to catch the Cruiserweight championship action tonight?
