Zack Gibson and James Drake have quietly put together a respectable resume for the NXT and NXT: UK brands.
After becoming the inaugural NXT: UK Tag Team Champions, the duo found themselves finalists in the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic losing to the team of Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle in the finals. After that, the duo announced their intent to go full time to the full NXT brand and become champions.
The former 3-time Progress Wrestling Tag Team Champions were no doubt victims of the COVID-19 pandemic as they hadn’t been seen on television since February, but the duo has rectified that as of tonight. Appearing on tonight’s NXT, the pair attacked the Ever-rise team of Matt Martel and Chase Parker.
Drake and Gibson are a formidable duo that looked to have big things planned for them before the pandemic, and now hopefully some of those things can come back to them as they make their arrival to the Capitol Wrestling Center.
