Update On Why Zelina Vega Wasn’t Allowed To Speak To Vince McMahon After Her Release From Company

WWE announced the release of Zelina Vega on Friday, the 13th of November. It was reported that Zelina was denied her request to speak to Vince McMahon after she arrived to the Amway Center in Orlando for SmackDown. It was also reported that Zelina was escorted out of the building after being denied her request of a face to face meeting with Vince.

Fightful Select has an updated on the incident, as they reported that they aren’t surprised that Zelina Vega wasn’t allowed to speak to Vince McMahon. They reported that they had been told by multiple wrestlers that it is hard enough to get a word with Vince McMahon, even if you’re a current member of the WWE roster.

It was also stated that there was one member of the SmackDown roster that said they waited for weeks to speak with Vince McMahon following their call-up to the main roster. Fightful’s report went on to add that Zelina “had asked to speak to Vince McMahon to tell him goodbye, and the offer to do so was declined.”

Additionally, it was stated that “several wrestlers shared personal words of encouragement to Zelina following the move.”

Ringside News added that they had been told that the “line outside of Vince McMahon’s office” got even harder to keep due to new social distancing protocols and guidelines. They stated that the line outside of McMahon’s office doesn’t even exist in a physical form anymore, and that Vince McMahon generally chooses to keep to himself in his office and that he is rarely seen anymore, especially now during the pandemic.
