Update On Chelsea Green – Details On Original Finish & Injury Update

Chelsea Green suffered an unfortunate injury last night on SmackDown after making her debut. Her first match for the blue brand featured her in a fatal four-way against Liv Morgan, Tamina, and Natalya for a spot on the Survivor Series women’s team for SmackDown.

Of course, there will always be speculation on how a match would finish when someone gets injured in the middle of it. In the case of this match, nothing changed.

Ringside News has reported that Morgan was always slated to win the match, with a tenured member of the creative team confirming there was no audible called in this situation.

Naturally, this raises more questions like why WWE would debut Green in this and then not book her to win Their source told the site this is “another example of how awful the creative is under Bruce Prichard. There is no effort to get people over, just bodies to fill TV time.”

Naturally for fans of Green, this is a frustrating situation. Green was booked to debut in a match she wouldn’t win only to get injured. Her fiance Matt Cardona tweeted out earlier a message that Green will have to undergo surgery on her broken wrist, so ths is another setback for Green. We hope this doesn’t set her back too far and she heals quickly.
