Producers of The Last Dance to Work On Steve Austin Documentary

One of the highlights of television this past summer was ESPN’s documentary, The Last Dance. The 10-part documentary featured unrivaled footage and interviews from Michael Jordan and others about the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls team, his final season with the Bulls. The documentary went on to win an Emmy for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series at this past year’s ceremony and has received critical acclaim.

Now, the producers of the documentary have picked their next subject and it’s WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Chris Van Vliet recently spoke to Lillian Garcia, where she revealed she will be taking part in the documentary, and she sounded fairly excited to be involved.

“WWE contacted me and they said the producers from the Last Dance are going to reach out to you. They want you in their documentary.” “It’s crazy because when I got the message I was literally just watching the Last Dance documentary. I said ‘Jake I’m literally watching your documentary right now, this is amazing.’ I come to find out that they want to do a documentary for ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and it’s coming out next year.”

Austin isn’t even the only WWE personality scheduled to get the documentary treatment. It was recently announced Netflix will start work on a documentary about Vince McMahon, but fans will likely be very excited to see Stone Cold get such a huge treatment.
